Subject: GPA Criteria for Admission to NC State University

Dear Antonio,

To successfully secure a spot at North Carolina State University (NC State), a prospective student's GPA plays a significant role. While the GPA criteria can vary based on the program and the competitiveness of the application pool, a good rule of thumb for aspiring undergraduates is to aim for a GPA of 3.5 or above. This will place you in a competitive position for admission to NC State.

However, it's crucial to understand that a strong GPA alone doesn't secure your admission. NC State's comprehensive admissions process also takes into account other factors like standardized test scores, extracurricular involvement, letters of recommendation, and personal statements.

For the most accurate and current information on GPA requirements for different programs at NC State, we recommend visiting the university's official website or getting in touch with the admissions office directly.

Here are the top three authoritative sources we used for this information:

1. NC State University Admissions Office: This is the official source for detailed and correct information about admission requirements, including GPA requirements for different programs.

2. NC State University Official Website: This website provides a wealth of information on admission criteria, including GPA requirements, for prospective students.

3. College Board: This trusted source provides insights into college admissions processes, including GPA expectations for various universities, helping you understand general trends and expectations.

We relied on these sources to ensure the information provided about GPA requirements for NC State University is both accurate and reliable.

May God bless you!
James Constantine Frangos.

Hi Antonio,

According to their website, admissions i based on gpa, sat's activities, volunteer experience, class rank of and the difficulty/variety of the courses taken in high school. It also depends on the campus and the major for which you are interested. NC is a very competitive college and the average student who was accepted earned a 3.5 gpa.
Good Luck!

Natalie

Check this link to NC State's Common Data Set (CDS) - the CDS lists all sorts of data about admissions. Section C lists the average SAT/ACT and GPAs of incoming freshman:
