Hi Cato!
Building connections and relationships is absolutely important to develop your own business. I would start with researching businesses that are similar to what you are looking to build. You can reach out to the owners of those business and get advice on how they started. Ask them what went well, what are some things you wish you knew at the start, and what opportunities did they have. You never know when these connections might pay off in the future so make sure you maintain those relationships!

Hi Cato!
I agree with everything Melissa mentioned. Having a diverse network is important in almost all aspects of life - whether it's starting a business, learning about new fields, taking on a new job, or knowing who to reach out to for personal or career advice. Keep in mind that you're not expected to have all the answers, and that the more people you know, the easier it'll be for you to discover what you don't know, and who to learn from!
There are many ways to find people with similar interests to you, for example:
- Research well known business leaders or thought leaders. What made them successful? Who has followed in their footsteps or learned from them?
- Read blogs or look into MeetUps or other events (virtual or in person) about business topics or fields you're passionate about. Introduce yourself to others who are passionate about solving the same problems or chasing the same opportunities you're interested in!
- Browse LinkedIn for people who work in fields or at companies that interest you. Send a message asking for a virtual coffee so you can learn what they like about their field, industry, company, etc.
Hope this helps!

Hello there,
Building relationships is essentially about forging powerful connections. These connections are the lifeblood of any successful business.
Remember, these bonds can blossom naturally through social events, online platforms, or by actively seeking individuals or businesses that share your vision and goals.
Don't be afraid to think creatively when promoting your business. Consider hosting meet-and-greet evenings. Engaging with your local community can also be a game-changer. It's a fantastic way to boost your visibility and recognition among local folks. So, go ahead and take the plunge. The community is waiting to welcome you!
