Don't worry too much about older techs whilst starting out as a younger tech. If you work for a dealer, there are always jobs. Build relationships with your dispatcher and service advisors and you'll be fine. It's an industry where if your coworkers are slacking or working harder, it has no relation to the progress of your job. It's a competitive field to get into but once you start building your resume, you're pretty much set as long as you have the skills and equipment to back it up! It's tough love getting welcomed in as I also was given a hard time by the older techs too. But it's in good faith, we're all people.

The increasing demand for automation is driving up costs, but given the level of competition, it's more necessary than ever to invest with technology and better supply and distribution chain management. The automotive industry has a long history of technological advancement and invention. It has continued to invest in technologies that make driving safer and more enjoyable for the general public. While today's environment is more demanding and more competitive, the industry is nonetheless aggressively growing. Environmental issues have become increasingly important in the vehicle business, and as a result, brands are putting more emphasis on sustainability. The more powerful and well-managed your supply and distribution chain is, the better your market position.
