Hey Anna, I recommend Linkedin and continuously updating it to stand out to recruiters on that platform. There are also a ton of job postings on it and it will help you land an internship!

Raymond’s Answer

That would be something that you would usually start after you've started college. But, if you live near a school that has that program or that type business nearby you go go and volunteer or possibly work part time while you're still in high school. Volunteering in that field would be a great way to get experience and would look great on college applications.

Raymond recommends the following next steps:

Move to Miami! The University of Miami has a great marine biology department and football team. Go Canes! :)

Hi Anna -

It's great that you already know what career path you might like to try out. I recommend researching marine biology companies and institutions and getting a feel for the industry / space. Likely some of the large companies have formal internships that you can apply into on their career websites.

I also recommend talking to your biology professors and college career services about where you should intern during college for a marine biology internships. I'm sure they'll be able to give you more personalized help and can give you advice to steer you in the right direction.
