Hello, I'm not sure what UTS means. You should, however, be able to complete the certification requirements through your BSN program. If they do not offer, I would suggest speaking with your program advisor, as they may have resources. If none of these options are viable, look into and join your local nursing chapter group for additional support and resources. Below is a link that can provide you with additional information about the certification/first aid related course. I hope this information is useful.

I don't recall my BSN program offering a specific course for First Aid, if you want the First Aid certification course you will have to take that separately (just like when you get CPR certified). You will of course learn basic first aid through your nursing labs and rotations however from what I recall you do not get a First Aid certificate for that. You should check with your program as each one is different.

Ruby,
General rule of thumb for most medical courses here in Australia you will need to have your basic first aid certificate when you apply. I am not sure if UTS is the same but I know for Paramedic, Fire and Emergency you need to have the first aid certificate.
I would suggest it can't hurt.

Bill
