What are some colleges with good 2-year degrees in Dental Hygiene?

I would like to complete a 2-year program in Dental Hygiene, but I don't know where to start looking for colleges. I don't know if a community college or a university is better or if it even matters, but I want to find a college in the US that will provide good training and look good on resumes. #dental-hygienist #college

https://www.onlineassociatesdegrees.net/nursing-healthcare/dental-hygiene/ has a list of schools.

https://universityhq.org/degrees/online-associates-dental-hygiene-programs/ give you a comparison between degrees vs just doing a certificate program.

Before you go down a path you should find out what the licensing requirement for Dental Hygienist in the state that you plan to work in. That will help you decide of you need to go down the degree path. Also, search is job ads in cities that you're interested in to see what education requirements most have.

I would consider your budget first. I personally got my degree at a community college and I may be biases but that's really going to be the best bang for your buck and you still will get a good education. Depending on your location I would email different community colleges and do research into their dental program.

I would focus on selecting a school in the state that you want to work in. I’d also contact the office of admissions and ask how to find out what percentage of students pass the licensure examination upon graduation and whether they have a placement office that can help you find a job after graduation.
