Pedro’s Answer

Hi Jesse,

Don´t confuse hobby with work.

You have to have a paid job to support yourself and your family but doing something you really like is something else.

Do what you want for fun and work for money.

Good luck!

Rebecca’s Answer

This is a question to yourself because different people may have different interest.
If you are interested in motor, would you like to be mechanical engineer, car designer, car sales, race car driver, etc.
I would suggest you could consider approach below :
1. You can explore any jobs that related to motors and
2. Find out more details on these jobs. If you know someone who works in these jobs, you can understand from them on the daily life of these jobs. You can also consult your school career counselor.
3. You may shortlist 1-2 these jobs and determine the relevant subjects in the college. You can then find out the entry criteria.
4. After entering the college, you can also explore any intern opportunities in these jobs to find out the real life of these jobs.
Hope these helps! Good Luck!

Jill’s Answer

My son was very similar. He loves cars and working with his hands. He attended a technical school to become certified in automotive technology and has been working at a car dealership as a mechanic for 7 years now. It is hard work, but he is very good at it and is more than able to support himself. The technical school had other programs. It was called Universal Technical Institute. They have several locations and you may want to take a look at their Web site.
