Alexandra (Sasha)’s Answer

4 years in medical school, and then I believe a 4 year residency in pediatrics. More if you want to specialize, such as pediatric cardiology for instance.

Hi Alejandra:

Pediatricians have fulfilling roles in treating children and impacting their overall health and well-being. As a Pediatrician, you'll "always" be learning. My son is a Pediatrician in his first year of fellowship. Here's a breakdown on how many years it takes to become one.

• 4 years = College Degree
• 4 years = Medical School
• 3 years = Residency
- - - - - - - - - - - -
• 3 years = Fellowship (Specialize in a certain area of Pediatrics)

Below are some links to articles that I hope you find helpful. Best of luck to you on your journey to become a Pediatrician.
