What are some related fields I should consider looking into for? (office admin)
I am interested in office admin because I have worked a few office jobs. I feel it suited my work styles and values. I enjoy the independence that some of my jobs gave me and working in a small setting. I am interested in Hr or Audit but I open to another area if it fits. #officeadmin #hr #audit #office #admin #business

Certifications within a desired field is always helpful and many times commands more pay. If you go down the HR path, you should look into an HRCI Certification. HRCI certification is one of the top credentialing organizations when it comes to human resource professional standards.

I am glad to hear that you are interested to work in the office. However, office admin, HR and Audit are different jobs. It requires different knowledge and skills. There are other office jobs, e.g. Accounting, Finance, etc.
I would suggest to take approach below :
1. Put down the office jobs you know. You can try to find out online, any one you know working in office, etc.
2. Explore more on each jobs what you have interest and you like to work on in the future.
3. Identify the jobs you would like to pursue and determine the relevant subjects in the college, e.g. you may need to take accounting & audit as your major if you want to an auditor. Alternatively, if you would like to work in HR, you may take Business with specialize in HR, etc.
4. Find out the entry criteria in the college
Hope this helps! Good Luck!

I recommend exploring internal audit. Internal Auditors can look at every process in a company, so it's much more than accounting work. Here are a couple of reasons audit is a great field:
1) You can learn about all different areas of a company.
2) Since you audit different areas, you are always learning new processes and meeting new people.
3) You can specialize if you find an area you really like, such as IT audit or Operations auditing.
4) You directly help your audit customers and the company improve.
5) The knowledge you gain and skills you learn can be directly applied to other areas of the company if you want to leave audit one day.
