Safwan’s Answer

At my school we have a learning center that teaches how to study. I failed calculus my freshman year and I really need to learn how to learn. Going to the learning center with a professional, free tutor every week improved my study strategies and my overall college experience. They also had tutors for specific freshman classes like calculus and chemistry that were available throughout the week.

Hi E G! Great question! I would definitely keep base with your adviser, tutoring/writing center, and any get well services available too! I think it's great to unwind and do things good for your mental health as well! Usually there are great wellness services on campus- be sure to check your emails as this where you get the information. There can be meditation, yoga and even talking sessions to unwind. The tutoring and writing center are great; I used them many times, please definitely make schedules and get help in your classes when needed or even for a quick check on your paper for class. The best part is that these services are part of your tuition and are a great service I have used since day one of college. I hope there will be more answers towards this question, there are many services available at school and I would be sure to make a list and see what really stands out for you in the immediate moment and what you can keep safe for later on!

I hope this helps! I wish you the best!
