what does an average day for a medical administrative assistant look like?

I am really interest in both medical field and administration. #medicalassitant #administrativeassistant

Thank you comment icon I think you should look into trying to do a job shadow. This would be a great way to learn about what the job actually looks like. Most jobs are pretty similar these days: navigating software system and being able to work with people. When job shadowing, it can often be stressful, I remember being nervous about it, but you should try to go in with an open mind. You're just there to learn, and no one expects anything from you. Hey Ashley,

I am sure it is different at every practice. However, when I worked as an MA, certain duties included administrative work. Therefore, we answered the telephone to make appointments, take payments over the phone, take questions for the physician, assist with insurance information. We also did prior authorizations for insurance, medication refill requests, and checking patients in and out.
