Hi Austin,

"Conservation Officer" is more of a job title than a job description. I would search Indeed, FWC, or similar job posting sites to see their job descriptions for similar titles. Check out the role descriptions, which give you an idea of what the job entails.

I current work in the conservation field, and I can say that in my role I spend a lot more time in an office at a computer than I originally thought I would. There is a lot of data analysis, literary review, meetings, grant writting, collaborations, and networking that is essential to the work we do and needs to happen in order to be successful. When you're in the field, it's amazing, but lot's of heat (or cold), biting insects, dirt, and sweat, depending on where you do the work and with what species.
