Raquel’s Answer

Yes all jobs have paid time off, but how much you get is very variable. It is different between different countries, fields, and companies. How much time off you get and how you accrue it will be specific to whatever job you apply to and something to ask in the application process.

Christopher’s Answer

If you are an employee of a company, depending on the country / state you are in, the answer is usually yes. if you are self employed, as some Travel Guides are, you would be paid only if you work.

Dennis’s Answer

As a small tour operator I've worked with numerous tour guides over four decades. Most are paid various amounts in salary or per tour when they work. Nearly all depend on tips for the majority, or sometimes all, of their income. I suspect very few receive paid time off and/or benefits, possibly with the exception of those working for government-owned companies. I would suspect that guides who work regularly for high end tours might have reasonably adequate annual incomes, but most do it for the opportunity to travel.
