Hi Jaydin!
Computer engineering is a great field to get into, and it's awesome that you're already so passionate about it.
If your high school offers any programming or computer system classes like Computer Science, I highly recommend taking them as they would be a great first step into the subject and will look great on a college application.
Outside of school, there are many free courses available online to take that focus on programming or computer systems. Coursera.org is a great resource and so is edx.org. Try going to edx.org/learn/computer-engineering to take some free online courses from universities across the world.
If possible, finding a part-time internship in Computer Science or Computer Engineering would also be a great way to immerse yourself in the subject and get real-life experience. Another option is to shadow any professionals that you know who work in the computer or software engineering field, even just for a day or two, to get an idea of what their jobs are like.
Lastly, I'd recommend doing some research on what colleges are known for their computer/software engineering programs in the US (or even in the world) so you can pursue the right schools to apply to.
Best of luck!
