Brittnye Dione’s Answer

Hi Ena,

I am a BIG LinkedIn fan! I highly recommend that you at least try and get on 2-3 times per week to engage the industry and build your network. A great way to start is by following a school or program that you're interested in. Message the group administrator and tell them about yourself.

In regards to your question - I update my profile in real time. If I have a new title, volunteer role, career change, etc... it's on LinkedIn. I would recommend that you be as detailed as possible since you are working to build your brand.

Feel free to connect with me at https://www.linkedin.com/in/brittnyediones87/- I am an open networker and would love a chance to provide any guidance.

Hope this helps!

Terri’s Answer

Hello Ena,
I update my linkedin account every time a note worth change occurs. I do this so I don't have to sit and recall everything to update at a later date. LinkedIn is a great companion to your resume. Also, I suggest you take full advantage of all the functions including citations and awards. As well, document any volunteer or non paid work as it is the experiences employers want to see.

Kelsey B.’s Answer

Since I am a teacher, I update my LinkedIn at the beginning and end of each school year. I will revisit it occasionally throughout the school year if anything note-worthy occurs.
