Malati’s Answer

Dear Yayuk,

Working as a Nanny can sometimes be a lot more challenging than a career as an office administrator, so well done!

I would write, "my experience has been as a governess to a child of ___ (age) for ___ (months/ years). It has taught me to be disciplined, organised, creative, alert, quick to adapt, as well as caring and compassionate. I would now love to use these skills in an office environment where I can manage people and processes effectively. I am looking for an office administrator role."

Hope this helps. All the best!

Thank you comment icon Dear Melati, Thank you for your marks. It help me a lot. Yayuk Yayuk

Kim’s Answer

All jobs are "real" jobs.
When you use terms like that, you are putting yourself down, and it is more difficult to think of all the things you did and learned in the nanny job. The more positively you look at your previous job, the easier it will be to identify these "transferrable job skills." Try it !
