What are the reasons for people to leave the media industry?

I am interested to know more about why the people who worked in the media industry change their profession later on? Are there any other important reasons behind other than the low salary?

thanks #media

Many times people are involved in the sales end and just get burned out doing it year in and out. For creatives they get sick of their art being judged by committees of clueless clients. The money can vary depending where you live and work, and by what you do. But many leave do leave due to low pay. But I would say there's a certain level of working your way up in the field and paying your dues. It can be hard to move up and find work that pays well, but anything worth while takes patience and hard work. So don't give up easy.

It's a fast paced environment that changes all the time, which means that new opportunities constantly abound. And it's a connection point to so many other industries that it's a great choice expander into marketing, broadcasting, publishing, tech, etc., creating vibrant job mobility. It's admittedly not easy in the beginner years because it has become so data heavy with the prevalence of digital and often means long hours managing spreadsheets and other detailed tasks but that's getting better every day and it gets better and better over time. I've been in media for the past 10 years after 20 years in publishing and love it. It's never dull, full of interesting clients and people, and is always looking to the future full of innovation and creativity.
