I am studying chemical engineering and I want to ask what it is like 5 years after I start working.

Farukh’s Answer

Sky is the limit. you can evolve into a NPI ( new product introduction expert) --> Process Engineer --> Complex material sales --> Supply chain Management --> Plant Manager.

One of my friends became a plant engineer within 5 years, he joined Faro corporation as a process engineer ( 2 years) --NPI (2 Years) --> Plant commissioning (China) ( 1 Year) --> Global Process engineer team lead (6 months) --> Plant manager

Michael’s Answer

Most likely you will be supervising hourly employees or potentially training a newly minted chemical engineer. With 5 years of experience and a go getter attitude you could be leading a project team
