I work in the Business Intelligence Field as a Data Analyst in my organization. I review our organizations Monthly expenses and then do an analysis around them to determine where we had variances and why. Below are some additional responsibilities that come with the job:

• Reduce manual tasks and automate excel type reports using programming tools.
• Build Dashboards providing insight to the leaders, which allow them to make sound informed business decisions.
• Respond to requests from our business partners to adjust the dashboards and reports according new requirements.
• Provide deep dive analysis to not only know the what, but know the why.
• Stay up to date on latest changes in our system tools.
• Improve insight into business drivers by tracking various statistics and investigating anomalies.

I think its important to understand that every job has different roles and responsibilities that are tailored to that profession.
