Elizabeth’s Answer

Hi Dave. Your current year and the next year in high school will be important for college admissions. Once you get into college take all the classes for pre-med. This will be a year of biology. I recommend Biology for majors and microbiology 1 yr of chemistry. This is called chem 1 and chemistry 2. 1 yr of organic chemistry.. its called organic chemistry 1 and organic chemistry 2. 1yr ofphysics called physics 1 and physics 2. Complete an undergraduate degree. The easiest in my opinion is biology but it can be in anything. Take the MCAT exam. I would recommend taking that exam as soon as you have completed those classes I mentioned above. That way the information is fresh in your head. There are preparation classes or books to help you prepare I would highly recommend using them. After taking the exam you can apply to med school. The better you do in medical school in the more likely you will have opportunities to go into the specialty of your choice. Some are more competitive than others. I hope this helps you feel free to ask any other questions.
