Bailey’s Answer

I love the fact that when a patient comes out of surgery we have fixed them or solved their problem. It is very fast pace for the PACU team. We typically will have the patient for less than 2hrs total. Sometimes we have them for 30min. I absolutely love medicine. I love how it evolves and constantly improves.

Karina’s Answer

The best part about surgery to me is that it has the ability to improve a patient's quality of life as well as give me a sense of belonging. I have truly found my niche in life and it's a huge perk that I get to help save lives while I'm at work. Everyday is a great learning experience as well and it's never boring.

Lawrence "Loren"’s Answer

What do I specifically love about surgery? What I specifically love about surgery is that it gives me the ability to help as many people as I can over my lifetime. I will be 40 years old this November and have already helped with over 40,000 surgical procedures on around 20,000 patients. Besides helping with the surgery itself, I get to comfort people that are often going through the scariest moment of their lives.
