Lauren’s Answer

I recommend for any salary type questions to navigate to " www.glassdoor.com" or download the app for "glassdoor". You have to search for the specific job type and the data is from prior employees that have been in a role for a certain company in a certain area so you can narrow for your region.

James’s Answer

It depends on if you want to work in a jail, a state prison, or a federal prison. All will have different salaries for their officers. Decide which type of corrections officer you want to be before looking further.

Blaine’s Answer

Salaries are determined by the state if it is a state institution, or by the county if is a local institution, IE; county jail. The federal system has their own pay grades.
The salaries are usually posted on the institution’s website.
