It's great that you see the possibility to achieve this goal , so the next steps is to start planning on it & make a timeline on what are the minor things you need in order to start your business. Plan on what equipment you might need to procure to make repairs (checkout what people are using through forum boards, youtube videos, community sites), where you can get the funds to procure these equipment, and start working on your goal! Many small-medium businesses have found success through promoting their brand in social media, and you might start off by showcasing your repair works in these social media sites so that people know what you are capable of doing!

Speaking as a former small business owner I would strongly suggest working in this field to learn and absorb as much as possible first. Not only will you learn the profession, but you can also learn the business aspect at the same time. A responsible business owner should consider themselves an expert in the field. This not only builds confidence in your abilities, and customer trust, but also makes for a great customer experience. I would also consider some business management classes as well in your plan. Hope this helps... Good luck!

Start working for a smaller shop where you can gain guidance from the owner. Learn the ins and outs especially on the backend. It's not just about the hands on technical skill you provide it's about understanding how to make and not lose money.
