Nancy’s Answer

The Strong Interest Inventory is one of the best. It changed my life almost 30 years ago when I learned what sorts of careers people who answered like I did were happy and successful in. I agree with the first respondent that you can often find this assessment at college career centers.

Hi Rina!

Here is a good place to start.

Also
- go back to the school where you got your pharm tech education and ask them about taking interest and aptitude tests and let them know that you might want to take some other courses, but that you are not sure of your direction and need their help in determining an appropriate direction
- go to the reference librarian at your local library and ask about if they give testing, many libraries have career assistance programs, or ask it they know of any career assistance programs in the area. Many times there are free or low cost programs in your area that offer such assistance by non-profit organizations.
- go to the admissions office of any college in the area and explain to them that you are interested in furthering your education and you would like their assistance in determining what you might want to do next. Schools are interested in helping students determine their fitting career areas, as they want to make sure they are entering into something in which they can succeed.

It would be good to try some of the above suggestions, because then you would have someone who would be able to help you to interpret the results of the test and help you determine what you might want to do next.

Please keep me informed. I would like to follow your progress.
