Hello Subha!
You can get various jobs with a bachelors degree in Psychology. You can work as a mental health counselor in a school setting, clinics, or at health centers. You can help treat people with anxiety, depression, stress or anything related. You can work as a social worker, in which you can help individuals or families with anything that is going on in their everyday lives. You can also be a child development specialist. In this job, you can identify symptoms or traits of a child that suffers from a disorder and you can implement treatments for them.

A degree in psychology can prepare you for many different positions. You can work in the helping professions in jobs such as a case worker or social work assistant. However, you can find additional opportunities in business or the arts. It really depends on what career path you would like to travel. Moreover, you might consider graduate school to specialize in a particular area of interest or profession.

There are soooo many careers that like to hire folks with psychology bachelors these days! In my case, I studied psych and landed as a user experience researcher at a tech company, where my role involves applying psychology research methods and ideas to a specific company's products.
Some "non-traditional" fields that love psychology right now are User Experience (design, research), Marketing, Data Analysts, Human Resources/People Operations. Many companies are starting to build out "behavioral science" teams now, too, if you're into behavioral economics at all.
Think about it this way: in each of these roles, you need to have an understanding of people and how they think/work, and you need to be able to do psychology-style research (be it interviewing a new candidate, analyzing a data set, writing a survey). Most don't require graduate degrees, and there are tons of online courses you can take to brush up on some skills if you need to (LinkedIn Learning, Nielsen Norman Group, Etc.).
Don't limit yourself to only "psychologist" roles! :) Good luck.

Hi Subha,
I think it may depend on location. In Texas, you would not be able to work as a mental health counselor, as you need at least a Master's Degree for that in my state. You could work as a care coordinator for a mental health company/agency. You can see if you qualify to work as a licensed professional chemical dependency counselor in your state. You can also possibly work as a mental health tech. You could also use your degree to pursue other fields as well. A great place to look is possibly O*Net, or doing an internet search of options. Also your college advisors or career counselors are great resources. They may have more information regarding what you can do with your degree. Good luck!
