Emma’s Answer

I agree with Bailey. I have been a registered nurse for five years and being open to learning new things each day is crucial. As nurses, we learn from our schooling, coworkers and even our patients. The day you think you know everything you know nothing. Secondly, be patient. In a career that seems to be always moving, remember to slow down and be patient with those you are caring for and also yourself.
You will do amazing Kayla!

Emma recommends the following next steps:

Research accredited nursing programs

Bailey’s Answer

In my opinion, willing to continue education and learning is the most important thing about being a nurse. Healthcare is constantly changing, including new surgeries, new medications, and new interventions. A nurse will need to keep up on the eduction to provide the best care for the patient. Education does not end the moment you graduate school, you continue to learn. I have been a nurse since 2017 and I am still learning new things daily!

William’s Answer

The most important thing about being a nurse is two fold. First is compassion. It is stressful, busy, and can feel overwhelming. Never. Forget your caring for someone's loved one and it is all about the patient. Second thing is safety. Always take time to verify orders, and be cautious because with all that stress and responsibility it is easy to make a mistake so take your time to be safe.

Michaela’s Answer

Kayla,
The most important thing is that you are passionate about medicine and helping others. It is also important to have an open mindset and that you are always willing to learn new things. Medicine is always evolving and we need leaders that are willing to make changes to create safer and more efficient patient care. Hope this helps!
