According to workwearcommand.com, construction workers generally wear functional work pants with plenty of accessible pockets, work boots with toe and slip protection, and a work shirt appropriate for the climate. They also must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) to meet certain safety standards. You've seen workers on the highway with the flourescent vests and heavy workboats. That is also standard equipment.
Good luck! We need more good construction workers.

Your personal protective equipment will depend upon the type of work you are doing. Steel-toe boots, gloves, safety goggles, and hard hats are usually the basics. If you work at heights you will need to be tied off to your lifting equipment to prevent injury should you fall. If you weld, you will wear a welding helmet with special eye protection, and use heavy gloves and possibly a shirt/apron type covering.
Here is an informative article from Grainger, which sells a lot of protective gear. I once bought a pair of boots from them to use when using my electric pressure washer, to prevent risk of electrical shock. That's another example of how the type of work will dictate the protective gear.
As to clothing, most of the construction workers I see wear blue jeans and a light weight long sleeve shirt. Don't forget about sun-protection. If you are working outdoors, that's important too!

Hello Nankana, what a great question. Construction workers year-round so they have to be prepared for all types of weather. During the winter the workers dress in layers because they aren't able to wear coats because they need to be able to move around. Same as summer the temperature could be as high as 105 degrees, so they wear mostly tee shirts. The workers do seem to wear the same kind of boot to protect their feet. Best of luck
