Tanvi’s Answer

Step 1- Don't look at Google and ask to yourself what your really love doing
(You got the answer right)

Step 2- Now under your interest area, search atleast ten job roles and be totally honest with yourself- what you can do right now, not 15 days later, a year or so but what job role fits right now

Step 3- Invest 1-6 months in that job role and you will be crystal clear.

Hope it helps, have a nice day.

Atul’s Answer

It is better to know which subjects do you enjoy the most and do well in it.
For instance: if you are good in Math, Calculus, Physics and Chemistry - you can pursue Engineering field whether it is a Mechanical, Civil, Chemical or Computer Engineering.
If you like Biology and Chemistry - you can pursue medicine or nursing or Biomedical industry.
It is better to search what jobs are out there based on the subjects that you truly enjoy.

Shay’s Answer

First decide what you would enjoy instead of just looking at what the pay may be.

A good starting place is looking at your personality type and any strengths and weaknesses. That may help you identify the types of jobs you just would not enjoy on the daily basis.

16personalities.com

That's a good one to start with if you aren't sure what your personality type is and then from there look at what experience you already have vs what you will need.

Bailey’s Answer

There’s so many careers in the medical field that I wish someone told me to research. Working for a hospital increases your chance of getting great pay, good insurance, opportunities to move up in the company, and hospitals are all over the world which increases the chance of getting a job anywhere. I am currently a registered nurse but here is a list of other options:

- registered nurse
-nurse practitioner
- physician assistant
- Radiology tech = X-ray tech, MRI tech, CT tech , cath lab tech
- nuclear medicine tech
- ultrasound tech
- echocardiogram tech
- physical therapist
- occupational therapist
- physician
- human resource in hospital
-medical biller /billing department
- pharmacist
-pharmacy tech
- bio-medical engineer (they are responsible for medical equipment and fix any issues)
- IT department for electronic medical record - CERNER/EPIC.
-lab= phlebotomist, microbiology, hematology, blood bank…
- management in any department
- dietician
- administrative /operator
- business administrator/ CEO

I hope this is helpful to spark some interest in a new area! A lot of times you can schedule to shadow a job within the hospital to see if it is something you like.

Reid’s Answer

My advice is to expand your search further beyond the internet. Try to get some informational interviews with people who are experienced in their fields. I’ve learned a lot from meeting people like that and learning about their education and career path. I found there were so many jobs/paths that I didn’t even know existed. From my experience, the people I’ve met with have been very friendly and more than happy to share information. This can also be a very good way to network and create future opportunities for yourself.

Ann’s Answer

One of my favorite websites is onetonline.org. You can search by job title, and it will give you a description of the job, that tasks they perform, required skills to do the job, the education needed, salary and demand for that role in the workforce over the next 10 years. I hope this helps! Good luck!
