Jean’s Answer

Hi, Molly, I was a traveling OR nurse for about 3 years. I had many positive experiences while traveling. I learned so much working in different hospitals. If you go out of state you have to get a license for each state you go to. I believe the company your work for pays for that, it’s not a complicated process. The company will set you up in an apartment, mine were always nice. I would recommend traveling if you want to broaden your expertise and see different parts of the country. You can also be a travel nurse in your own state. I wish you luck!

Kentrice’s Answer

A nurse has many rewarding aspects. My grandmother was a army nurse and nurse manager and my step mother is a nurse manager. Both traveled in there assignments for nursing. The pay is very rewarding being that my step mother is traveling for weeks at a time during COVID and making thousands a week. It is also rewarding being able to travel to different cities and get new experiences. You may find another city you love and want to move there. The downside to it is being away from family and friends, long hours, and the emotional size of having to leave from where you have gotten adjusted to. I believe it can be worth it to try out. You never know until you try it out!
