Bailey’s Answer
I enjoy working 3 days a week with 12hr shifts. Some departments offer more time or different kids of shifts, but I really enjoy having more time off. I can work weekends or weekdays. I can work 3 days and go on a 4 day vacation without using PTO. I have a lot of freedom in signing up for shifts. My favorite thing about my job is watching the miracle of medicine. I send people into surgery and then they come out fixed. It is very magical to me.
We obviously need nurses…. But there is also a need for people in imaging (X-ray techs, ultrasound techs, CT techs, MRI techs and echo techs).

Thank you, this is really helpful.

There will be stresses and right now staff shortages are everywhere.
It definitely depends on your personality of which healthcare profession you find enjoyable. Clinical Lab scientist (allied health profession) or Pathology (medical profession) is enjoyable for me because in most cases I'm away from the chaos of the floor and can focus on my work, very little patient interaction but still all the scientific and medical knowledge to contribute to the diagnostic team.

Okay so what is the most enjoyable job in Healthcare, I would have to say that it depends on you and how much fun you make it. Healthcare is a serious job and it takes a lot of skill, care and compassion mostly. You will know once your in the healthcare field what road is the best one for you, Nursing is a very demanding job but depending on where you work, so is EMS that is what I have done for close to 30 years and I enjoyed every bit of being an EMT-Paramedic. It also taught me so much being out there in the field pre-hospital to see how the emergency begins and sometimes ends! Nobody wants a job they do not like, some people do not want any job at all, but start someplace like a hospital emergency room or maybe just go get a degree. Whatever you do just do not wait around we need all the help we can get in healthcare!!!

Hi Charlie
Hope this email finds you well
the answer to your questions go as follow:
Most enjoyable job in healthcare - Honestly the most enjoyable is the one you can have fun and have a strong interest in, the healthcare field id extremely wide, everything form being a specialist, family doctor, technician, elderly or child care, therapist, this just to name some, I for example I'm in engineering and support, my job is as crucial and important of that of a doctor, because I'm responsible for keeping, advising and training on the devices the doctors use to conduct their work, whether this is a ventilator for example or an electrical surgical unit, so the world of healthcare is very, very big, my best advise is to brainstorm what are the things you like and dislike, some people are not found to blood and bodily fluids for example so nursing would be out, but you may be super good with exercising so Physical therapy might be something to look into ;-) dig on your interest as I mentioned and see how those relate to the healthcare world.
Favorite thing about my job - I love it! is not a job when you have fun and like what you do, helping others, guiding them, knowing that the device you just fixed or help someone fix has save a life is priceless. like i said if you love what you do is not a Job is an adventure.
Most demanding jobs in healthcare - if you think about it, there are a few things career wise that will always be in demand, one is anything in healthcare, there are always people in need and whether you chose to be in the front line as a nurse, or doctor, the demand for people on the back end dealing with administration related to healthcare, technicians fixing life saving devices or therapist will always be in demand, like I said brainstorm and see what are your likes and then you can better see how those can be applied in the field ;-)
hope this helps
best of luck
