My question is to become a Veterinarian Doctor, What classes do you suggest that I need to take ?
I would like to own my own practice any information you can give me on this subject will be truly helpful. Also they have programs to help to take care of the animals or do it all comes out of the owner pocket?

Before you can own your own practice you will need to go through veterinary school and become licensed to practice in your state. It also might help to work at a practice owned by another veterinarian when you are just starting out so that you can gain more experience.

Pre-med will be where you begin. I am not a vet, but usually you "branch out" to a specialty, after these courses are completed. These classes are meant to "thin out" the " want-to-be's" from those who are more serious. You might ask around to some of the vets you either know or work around you. Many offices are being bought out and many Vet's are getting out of the business as it is hard making a living as a single doc in a box.
Of course you could specialize after completing basic school and be more in demand.

You should have a strong science background and get good grades in College. You will first earn a 4-year degree, and then go to Vet School. It is very competitive, so, you should look at the on-line information for the schools you are interested in.
You will also want to learn how to run a business. There's a LOT to it. If you hire a strong office manager, that will take much of the stress off of you. When people start a business, they often take out loans to get it going. If you can find a practice where the owner/vet is retiring, and take that over (pay him to buy his business from him or her), that would work well because the practice already has clients.
I would focus on getting the education and experience. I wouldn't rush into starting a business right after graduation. There's a lot going on in life when you are just getting started!
