I would recommend the following: https://youtu.be/NQjPdGsLYPI and then contact someone on LinkedIn messaging that has a background in Marine Engineering to asks questions. Someone, you identify with. In the search look up for google read this entire page; https://www.google.com/search?q=Marine+Engineers&rlz=1CAHKDC_enUS921&oq=Marine+Engineers&aqs=chrome..69i57.4295j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8, finally, contact your local Marine Engineering office to see if you could speak with someone. Tell them you are contemplating a career in Marine Engineering and would it be possible to speak with a supervisor or anyone who had a few minutes. Call a few office, do not just call 3 places. Call at least 30 locally or around the nation. Hopefully, you will hear a trend of what the work is like, what to expect daily. Best regards.
Hello, Mrs/Ms. Jackson! Thank you so much for your recommendations!

Aracely, I am glad I helped you. Please those who helped you, please send a thank you note, it can be emailed, but a personal handwritten note is so much better. If you handwriting is not great, use ChapGBT. I wish you well, and how were you received when you called others?
