Hey Kamari!
As medical standards and licensure requirements different from country-to-country, you would probably need to complete any medical courses and clinical rotations in-state, however you could use studying abroad to complete your non-nursing courses such as English or History. Your student advisor at the college you attend will be able to help you with your academic planning, and this include letting you know what your options would be for studying abroad.
Best of luck!

Hi Kamari,
Absolutely! Different colleges have different Study Abroad programs. If you haven't chosen or aren't currently enrolled in classes I would recommend that you talk to your schools of interest and ask them about their study abroad options. You likely will be taking humanities or general education courses while abroad, but it will be worth it. In my undergraduate I did an accelerated study abroad course over spring break. I was in an international business course but others were enrolled in a health services class where they studied the health care system in England. Your advisor will be able to give you the best advice on how to study abroad without falling behind. Good luck!

It really depends on the program you attend. You may not be able to do a study abroad once you are in the BSN program, but while still doing your prerequisites it could be possible. Look at first year programs like Verto Education. If you want something related to nursing, check with your program advisor or university study abroad department. Or research gooverseas.com for nursing-specific options.
Study abroad is definitely a benefit to broadening your cultural competence and global awareness as a nurse! Best of luck to you and enjoy.

Hi Kamari,
You may study abroad while completing online BSN program. If the BSN is part of your initial RN program, then I believe you must be in the same area of your studies to obtain the mandatory clinical hours needed.
hope this helps and best of luck with your adventure.
