https://www.ziprecruiter.com/Salaries/Personal-CHEF-Salary and https://www.payscale.com/research/US/Job=Private_Chef/Salary list salary ranges around $54k and 74k.

Keep in mind that you would have to be really good, have significant experience, and have a great reputation to get paid that much. It will require significant talent, dedication, and time investment to reach that level. The average may seem pretty good, I would expect that not very many people will get jobs in this category. I'd imagine it's like the NBA or NFL where the average pay is great but very few people get a job.

Also don't underestimate the time commitment once you get this type of job. I'd assume 10-12 hours a day for a full-time commitment and that'll likely include weekends.

Just for comparison, a 1st year teacher in Chicago usually makes $56k and with experience it goes to $100k. Yes, it requires a 4 year degree plus teacher certification but you usually get summers off. So I'd expect you'd actually work less for about the same money. Of course dealing with kids requires a certain personality but it so does being a personal chef.
