Sikawayi’s Answer

Hello Joshua, thank you for your question. This is a very good question just because of the times were living in, first of all I do believe they will be hiring more in all areas of the country do to the fact that most people are looking for privet security. In the last few years there has been a massive increase in retirement from the police department. Crime has gone up all over the world so if this is the line of work you end up choosing, please be careful. Best of luck

Paul’s Answer

Hi Joshua,
The first thing u will do is getting more equiped mentally on that position. As a security manager, you need to ask yourself, what are the responsibilities of a security manager, and do i have the adequate skills to carry out this functions successful. You need to put at the back of your mind, the type of environment you will find yourself.
As a security manager, you need to be smart, highly intelligent, and must have the adequate information about the level of security in that environment.
So my advice for you is... Read books relating to security functions, watch documentary relating to security awareness..

Hello Joshua,
Because information security is getting increasingly complex and new threats come online every day, the job outlook for information security managers is quite positive. While specific U.S. Department of Labor statistics are not available, the related job of information security analyst shows a projected growth of 28%, much higher than the average growth of all occupations at 7%. To get more information, refer to the article in the following link.
