1.) I can’t attest to the pay scale in Missouri it I can tell you the sky is the limit right now. It’s all about selling yourself and your knowledge to the person across the table in the interview.. Of course you must produce if hired, but for a journeyman, 30-35 is an acceptable rate with experience.
2.) the most trouble I had was with theory and resistance. I didn’t understand the way it was being taught by our first year teacher. My second year teacher though, he showed us a new way and it all made sense, plus it was way faster.. Seek to learn, ask questions because the only stupid question was the one you didn’t ask.
3.) All states have a range and there is a national average but there are many different positions and vast differences in knowledge. Certain catastrophes bring a hike in wage rates. During all the California wild fires, lineman were getting paid 100k to sign on for 6 months all expenses paid. Cell tower electricians can make $5000 a climb, so it’s really pertinent that you do some research and figure out what you yourself want to do and what risks you are willing to set aside.. All of it varies and each position has its own dangers
