Psychology. Mine was personal I was having my own problems. I considered school my therapy, in learning who I was as part of a very dysfunctional family. I also had other behaviors I needed to address so that in alone, was a great accomplishment.
My second thing is that I got closer to God. In learned about we as a human beings have a spiritual side that society has dismissed. I found that by exploring Jung’ s archetypes and Carl Rogers theory touches the basics of the Bible’s representations. To me this was my ( a ha ) moment.
Everything is relational to the Holy Spirit. The mental world is the world of spirits evil as well as good. It depends upon which ones you listen to. So understanding the person who you are counseling, this is what I found to be most accomplishment most valuable.
2. What are the best colleges to attend in order to become a Psychiatric Nurse?
Once again It depends upon your financial issues
What colleges are close to you and what they offer.
Value is not necessarily representative of the college.
I can only give my own great college
as my reference and that was San Jose State University in California.
There are many reputable Colleges out there it once again depends upon what you choose. You could write to the Nursing State Board of your state to get proper K accreditation because not all schools are.
3. What is the most stressful challenge of being a Psychiatric Nurse?
Really number
1 Reaffirm your belief in God because people are looking for answers that are lacking in their lives. There is knowledge and wisdom that is revealed to you in their issues.
2 Leave your work at work
3 Have a resource to relax and unwind your own tensions weather having a bad hair day or other issues
4 Yes a counselor should always have a counseling interaction with another therapist. It promotes stability and counseling practice.
This is my own opinion as a retired RN BSN m, Master’s in Mental Health/Vocational Rehabilitation/Addiction Counselor
