Lindsey’s Answer

To become a cosmetologist you have to complete hours based on your your state, in Florida it is 1200 or 1500 hours, 9months to a year of practical and hands on learning!
Some of the best schools in the Tampa Bay Area are the Aveda institutes, Paul Mitchell, Summit Salon academy. These are all branded schools, so I highly suggest looking into which brand, and school mission align best with you and your core beliefs!

Lindsey recommends the following next steps:

Call cosmetology schools
Set up a tour
Tour all the schools on your list
Make a decision!
