Hi Dante! Good news! There are lots of different platforms (websites) you can use to build a website, and a lot of them are free! I would recommend googling WordPress and signing up for the free version. I would recommend the free version just incase you end up not being super interested in this field. I use the free version, it works really well. Wordpress is used by a lot of major companies to build their websites, so it’s a great platform to become comfortable with! After you have signed up, search for YouTube tutorials on how to build a website with Wordpress. YouTube is a great resource for learning to build sites, how to get started in this career, how to use these web building platforms/ software, how to code, etc. Play around with it/ build some practice sites. The best way to improve your web building skills is to practice!
I would also suggest searching YouTube for “how to build a website” and try out any other free platforms you see tutorials for. But again, I would stick to the free versions to be sure you really enjoy this field bc they often times work just as well and some paid platforms can be very expensive.

Hello Dante! wordpress is a great tool for building websites and I would also suggest looking into wix. These are great if you want to work from a template but if you want to build a full functioning web app from scratch then you'll need to learn popular web tech stacks. Development is split into frontend and backend. You can dive into frontend development by learning HTML, CSS and Javascript and for backend you can learn javascript as well. This would be an entry point into learning development, further down the road you can start learning frameworks like Angular, React and Vue.

The internet has tons of articles on how to make websites. You can make sample websites.
Also consider taking either an online or in-person class on webiste development.
Also, if you belong to organizations that have their own websites, try to get in contact with whoever built and maintains the website.
