Hi Reagan, you don’t need a college degree to be a real estate agent. I think having some experience such with computers skills, also communication/marketing is very valuable. I believe you could even get an associates if you don’t want to spend 4 years getting a bachelors.

David’s Answer

Real Estate is very competitive. I think some of the tools are personal ones, drive, grit, the gift of gab... Also, you will need to know something about real estate, not just the market, but different types of building, some knowledge of economics and finance, construction, local laws, marketing, understanding why people buy houses and what attracts them. (Fresh baked cookie smells are not enough). Additionally, a lot of the real estate market moves via networks, who people know etc, and MLS, so some good knowledge and experience in computers would be good. You might need to use searches, spread sheets, write documents. In Massachusetts you have to work with a broker first. So you might find a friend that is a real estate agent or broker and volunteer to work for them. They will treat you like a slave but you will learn a lot.
So, what tools will you need; soft skills, computer skills.
