Thats something you may have to take up with you professor or teacher. Many places do however offer inter positions for highschool and college students for free. Research as much as possible. Try google or doctor websites. Google can show you options such as being able to sit in on operations or prepping surgery or etc. There are many resources out there available you just have to search around for whats best for you. Good thing is that you have time to prepare, BEST OF LUCK ON YOUR FUTURE.

Lots of hospitals will post these openings on their hospitals career page! They will say things like "nurse extern, rn applicant." Check the hospitals career pages in your surrounding area that you would be willing to drive to. You can also contact their HR department and let them know your circumstance and that you're interested in an intern or extern position. Hope this helps! Key is to be persistent. Don't give up.

Internship as a nurse is one of the most easiest thing to have, because all hospitals are always on the lookout for intern to help around .
Firstly, if it's a school internship your administration is supposed to help you look for hospitals or health care centers where you can go practice and all what you are left to do is choose where you want to work.
Secondly, you can equally be assigned with the tasks to do so yourself which sometimes happen, in this case , go to the hospital or click around you and drop an application for intern and go home . Next morning you will definitely start it because they is nothing as good as having intern in the hospital to help out .
