My current career goal is to get into Biotechnology, and maybe programming as an alternative. For the biotechnology field, what should I look into to be more prepared?

As a biotech engineering student looking for a job, I recommend taking courses in programming, project management, and data science. That will be a plus in your profile(When you need a job) and it's very useful in the career.

This sounds like such an awesome area to be involved in right now and also kudos to you for being so young and interested in it. Biotechnlogy has what is called an innovation organization which has some great information about the field https://www.bio.org/what-biotechnology Check out the previous page for how they have broken down biotech and then depending on the area you want to work in, that is what you should focus your development on. In high school, take up any tech courses that are available to you and DEFINITELY science.
Thanks for the advice.
