Although there is no official certificate you need to start selling things on Etsy, I would recommend some basic business and marketing courses to help your shop excel. The business courses will cover the financial education you need to successfully run a small business while the marketing class would help you appeal to your consumers/understand digital advertising.
If you have that foundational knowledge, you can really focus on the product itself and have fun with it.
As an avid Etsy consumer, I hope to see your products online soon!

In addition to taking some simple business classes, I would suggest checking out art associations or libraries in your hometown that might be hosting Etsy classes! I attended a class like this in the past (it was 1 day and not very expensive), and the instructor went over basic fees that Etsy charges to host a shop on their website, some of the rules of their platform, as well as suggestions for how to set up your Etsy page and how to take photographs of your products.
Another key aspect of selling on Etsy is something called SEO (search engine optimization) - I highly suggest you do some research on what SEO is and how to use it to your advantage when listing your products on Etsy! I ran an Etsy shop for a couple of years and really enjoyed it - I hope you do too!
