Are you more likely to find a job out of the state or inside the state you live in?

Hi Iris,
You should try to do a detailed search on job sites in the state where you want to reside in. This would give you an idea of what to expect in your jobs search. It may be easier to start off with internship search. I think that you should pick a state and concentrate you job search there. If you have already graduated then you should start to apply just to get your feet wet. Also do your own research on the state too.

If you are passively looking for jobs or looking to find jobs through networking, in-state is the most likely option. I applied to several jobs out of state when I first graduated and had interviews, but ultimately ended up staying in the state where I went to school. If you're willing to put in the effort you can find a job just about anywhere!

That depends on where you put your focus. If you want to live a certain place, really look at what fields are hot in the area. Don't give up a dream though if you really want to live somewhere, you will make it work. Good luck!
