Majoring in Computer Science

How difficult would say majoring in computer science is?

Thank you comment icon Hi Victor, As Neha's answer suggests figure out if you enjoy programming. As Rodrigo suggests try it out. It may be new and confusing at first but stick with it to see the first few programs work. Try https://code.org/student/middle-high for a suitable course. Ramesh Narayanaswamy

definitely easiest compared to other engineering disciplines, law or medicine :). Its also the fun one; projects and computer work. Skills need to build besides technical competence are ability to work in teams, long running projects.

Neha’s Answer

It is not difficult if you enjoy the associated courses, programming and learning new technologies. Would suggest that you connect with someone already majoring in CS to learn more about coursework and see if that matches your interests. Also try to connect with someone who is using those skills in his/present job at a tech company to understand this is what you want to pursue long term. Ask them about the projects they work on, skill sets required and how their typical day goes.
