Andrew’s Answer

Mathematics is a creative discipline by itself in that mathematicians explore and create new mathematical structures and systems, which may or may not serve science and technology. Nonetheless, since mathematics is the language of science and technology, an advanced degree in mathematics opens doors to a variety of career paths, primarily in scientific research and academia.

Rebecca’s Answer

Thank you for your question. I am glad to hear that you are interested in Maths. Maths is the fundamental of many subjects including Maths itself, Engineering, etc. and it also applies to finance, economics, accounting, etc.
Below are my suggestions :
1. You can explore more on these careers. E.g. In engineering, there are different engineering subject like Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineer, Civil Engineering, etc.
2. Identify the careers you have interest
3. Speak to someone who are working in these careers. Seek advice from your mentor, school career counselor, your parents, etc.
4. Shortlist 1-2 career you would like to pursue
5. Explore the entry criteria of the relevant subjects in the college.
Hope this helps! Good Luck!
