Compassion is a big one. When it comes to aggressive patients try not to take it personally. If they were gonna flip it was going to be against anyone. Try learning conflict resolution and get help incase something does happen. The more eyes on it, the better!

Becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant is a great step towards becoming a nurse! Being a CNA will give you great experience caring for patients and is a great career choice that does not require lengthy training.
If a patient becomes aggressive, the best thing to do is keep yourself safe. Attempt to use de-escalation techniques. Try to remain calm and not reflect aggression as this can make the situation worse. Overall, prioritize your safety and call for help if needed.
CNAs should have patience and compassion. Being a CNA often is taxing and requires caring for people who you may not get along with. Having patience can avoid feelings of frustration. Being a CNA also involves caring for people in very vulnerable positions. Having compassion helps you minimize any embarrassment for patients.
