Harry’s Answer

This is a very broad question. Depends on what trade that you are going to get involved with. Generally you can expect hard work, long hours, a good income once trained, and a satisfying career. I have been in the construction industry for over 40 years and I have been able to learn something new almost daily that I can apply to work and home. I have made a good living for my family. You have to be willing to work hard, learn and be committed. Do the time and the reward will follow. It is a satisfying profession that provides tangible results.

Catherine’s Answer

It can be very rewarding, but challenging as you have to start working very early and spend lots of time at construction sites. There is a lot of weekend work involved and the construction people can be a bit rough. Again, all challenging but rewarding.

Michael’s Answer

Hi Caleb. You should expect to have to learn each position the company works for has to offer. Many times you will need to learn the lower jobs first and then move to the more desirable position. Additionally there are many schooling opportunities in this field. Specializing in one aspect can help to move your career choice along. Good luck!
