That will depend on the state requirements that you'll be working in as well as the needs of the client.
https://www.oregon.gov/dpsst/PS/Pages/new.aspx has the state licensing requirements for Oregon. Keep in mind that this would be the minimum requirement for licensing and security companies & clients will likely want more extensive experience. Especially for personal security, clients may prefer law enforcement or military experience.
https://www.knightsschool.com/ and https://www.defensivefirearmsinstruction.org/oregon-security-training/ has details on what a training program looks like and costs.

Hassan is correct. Most states require a state-issued security guard license/certification, which can consist of the following:
-8 - 40 hours of classroom training
-A written (usually multiple choice exam)
-Fingerprints & background check
-An additional 24 - 40 hours of "On the Job Training (OTJ), provided by your new employer
Additional training/certifications (CPR/First Aid, deescalation training, etc.) may be required but are usually covered by the employer for new hires.
Please note, there are many scammers out there that will "guarantee" a security guard license, along with a job. It is always best if you start with your local state government website and search for security guard license/certification.
Finally, many security guard vendor companies contract with private organization and may provide the required training and background checks to place you with private/public organizations.
Good Luck!
