Caitlin’s Answer

A big part of transitioning from high school to college is you being able to choose your schedule. Work closely with your advisor for help making decisions. Choose your schedule with care. Be prepared to make your schedule as soon as classes open. You want to make sure you stay hydrated and get enough rest. If you are an early riser choose early classes, if not, choose later classes. Think about when you will be studying, and place study time in a calendar and be sure to do every assignment (best to do it as soon as it is assigned) A big part of passing your tests is doing the homework and reading assignments to get you prepared. Classes were typically Monday wed fri or Tues Thursday. I chose earlier on Tues Thursday and later on Mon wed fri because there were a lot of fun things to do Thursday nights. If I had an early class Friday I wouldn’t be prepared. So it’s classes studying and my last recommendation is join groups. Get to know people. Study with others in your classes to make the most out of your experience. Good Luck!

Gena’s Answer

Nursing is a challenging major. All the prerequisite classes are challenging and there is not a point where it is "easy". You may feel overwhelmed at times, but you will persevere with hard work and determination. I felt like it was thrilling but terrifying and I wanted to absorb it all.
